Applications:
Straight fibers; thick short fibers; crystals; carbon fibers; in general any shape that isn’t circular where a length and width are needed.
Available measures:
- Bounding Rectangle Width
- Bounding Rectangle Length
- BR Width and BR Length are the dimensions of the smallest rectangle (in area) that encloses the particle’s silhouette.
- Bounding Rectangle Aspect Ratio
- BRAR is the ratio of Bounding Rectangle Length to Bounding Rectangle Width.
- Rectangularity
- Rectangularity = (actual shape area) / (BRL * BRW). This measures how closely the shape resembles a rectangle, with 1.0 representing a perfect rectangle.
