How It Works

Adding Dynamic Imaging to the Mastersizer 3000

Hydro Insight is installed as an inline flow cell connected to the Mastersizer’s Hydro series wet dispersion units.

Circulate Sample

The dispersion unit circulates the sample through the Hydro Insight flow path.

Capture Images

The onboard camera captures images of particles in motion at high frame rates.

Extract Data

Software extracts particle size, shape, count, and morphology descriptors.

Compare Results

Results are displayed alongside the Mastersizer's diffraction PSDs for comparison.

This integration allows operators to evaluate dispersion quality, sample stability, and particle morphology without altering existing measurement protocols.

Captures large numbers of particles in a very short amount of time with high quality thumbnail images, as well as full-frame images a raw data for re-analysis.

Compare by overlaying samples to identify and quantify differences not only by size, but by any shape parameter. Many times, size alone will not be enough to differentiate samples.
