The challenge

Glass fiber particles have large aspect ratios.  In this application, there was a need to quantify the aspect ratio of various populations of glass fibers.  Correlation plots were generated to compare the length to width of the fibers as well..

Besides Aspect Ratio, the quantification of particles based on Opacity was of interest and measured. With Particle Correlation, the comparison of Opacity vs Size was also measured.

Aspect Ratio was also used in this sample to quantify the number of stick-like samples present.
